    HI !
im david and i like your vids !

were do you get the cub drawing from this plane ?

  • MikeysRC:

I have tried brushed motors on these planes and they are usually too heavy and underpowered.

  • CoreyGalbreath:

i have a 380 brushed engine from a exceed rc piper j3 cub will that work

  • PukinDog68:

I to found that elevator needed twice the surface area to be sure to get out of any strange situation. But for a beginner it’s good.

  • MikeysRC:

Yes you could make the tail a different shape if you want too. Part of the reason for the small elevator is because this is designed to be a trainer plane so I didn’t want it to be too responsive. But even with it’s small size it works very well.

  • LTF85199:

for simplicity and easy sake shouldn’t you make wings and horizontal stabilizer in rectangular /tapered shape rather than oval? and a bigger area elevator should help too right? this seems a bit too small? but it is all purpose that matters right?

  • MikeysRC:

Should be up soon……it’s currently processing on my computer =). I want to get this whole video series done so I can move on to the F-22 Raptor and Concorde plans!!!

  • startazz:

Looking good mate and i’m looking forward to the next one now ;-) 5*

  • MikeysRC:

    @GHANDYTAMASH not really.

  • GHANDYTAMASH:

what if i keep the wings straight i mean no Dihedral angle ? is it more hard to control ?

  • piepieyum:

dude, this is sick. seriously. great work

  • suneetasandeep:

I think it is a laminated depron sheet… but the built is superb….

  • MikeysRC:

Alright! cool, I can’t wait to see.

  • whyisheleavingme:

Alrighty, i’ve built two of your sports trainer already. Servos are there, bbq sticks are sticking and Popsicle stick is doing its job. Now i am just waiting for the motor. I’ll upload pictures for you to have a look at!

  • MikeysRC:

    YES, definitely!

  • whyisheleavingme:

Hey Mikey, can we use the transmitter to fly this sports trainer that we bought for the EXI 450 in your other video?

  • MikeysRC:

Possibly. Can you tell me which transmitter you have…..or which helicopter it came with? Send me a link to the helicopter or transmitter in a private message to me as YouTube won’t let you post links on comments like this =).

  • wilhelm100bmv100:

hey can i juse a heli transmitter on a plane??

  • Dario550:

thanks Mike, I appreciate all the help you have given to me

  • MikeysRC:

O I just remembered I have an engineer friend who was born in Nicaragua I think. Anyway he speaks fluent Spanish and he use to use foam core all the time. I;ll ask him what it’s called. Hows that for service =)

  • MikeysRC:

Well this material is commonly used in picture framing. It’s basically used as a trim piece over the top of the picture and then the glass is put over the top of it. Maybe if you go find business that do picture framing they could help. Some craft stores in the US have framing places in the back of them.

  • Dario550:

jajaajaja, of course we have, the problem is that I dont know the material’s name in spanish and I think is not very common here because I haven’t seen them

  • MikeysRC:

Bummer! Do you have art’s and craft stores down there?

  • Dario550:

awasome!!! the plane is great, unfortunately I can’t find this material here in Colombia, i dont know the name of it in spanish

  • iecabus:

    totally awsome!

  • startazz:

Thanks for these great video’s mate as i’m about to start to build my first scratch build of this plane for my son,but i will make the my one with the battery at the top i think it was so i can push my flying a bit more,so thanks again mate=5*
